Meet the Directors
Dear Friends,
For over 37 years, Madawaska Camp has been Canada's number one volleyball camp. Building on this success, is our unique All-Sport camp which encompasses many of the elements that has made Madawaska so popular for so many years - spirit, skill development and building friendships.
About Ian & Carrie Eibbitt
For the past 22 years, Ian’s involvement at Madawaska Volleyball camp has provided him with the experience and leadership skills necessary to direct our dynamic programs. In addition to his vast volleyball experience as an athlete competing on the Ontario Provincial team in 1987, Ian continued his playing on the Pro Beach Tour between the late '80's to mid '90's with his partner Marc Roberts.
Since 1991 Ian has been involved in the sport of volleyball through his involvement with Overkill as one of the co-owners. Overkill, which is a clothing brand and retail store, is located in the Beaches of Toronto. Overkill has always been a enthusiastic supporter and sponsor of volleyball and has continued to promote youth development within the sport.
In 1998 Ian was the recipient of a recognition award by the Ontario Volleyball Association for outstanding contributions to the sport of volleyball in the province of Ontario. Most recently he was awarded the Special Achievement Award, recognizing his contributions to the sport of volleyball and to the development in the field of fitnes and amateur sport.
Currently Ian is the assistant coach for the Durham Attack 18U Girls Black team with fellow Madawaska alumni, Evan Williams.
Ian and his wife Carrie have been instrumental in the creation of the Madawaska All-Sport Camp. Ian and Carrie have tremendous experience with the administration and overall operation of both All-Sport and Volleyball camps and all matters related to Madawaska are addressed through their home office. Ian as Camp Director and Carrie as Camp Administrator will deal with all camp correspondence on any camper or staff issue. These roles continue during the two weeks of camp when the office moves up to our beautiful property in Palmer Rapids, Ontario.
