Peter Millsap: Section Head
Pete has been part of the Madawaska family since 1996 providing campers with volleyball skills and fundamentals while teaching game strategies and mental toughness. For the past four years, the role of Section Head has provided a venue for Pete to pass on his vast amount of volleyball experience to our coaching staff. Pete’s engaging sense of humour allows our staff and athletes to be comfortable while learning new skills and experiencing situations outside of their comfort zones. He simply makes volleyball wonderfully fun!
Pete’s Accomplishments:
• Head Coach – Boy’s team Collingwood Collegiate Institute
• Head Coach – Barrie Eastview Secondary School
o 14 Association Championships
o 3 OFSAA Medals
• OFSAA 2008 Leadership in Sports Award Winner
• Head Coach – Georgian Cubs and West Side Volleyball Club
o 2 OVA Provincial Medals and a National Bronze in 2001
• Head Coach – Collingwood Black Diamonds Volleyball Club
• Inducted into the Barrie Sports Hall of Fame as Team of the Year in 2000 and Coach of the Year in 2001
• NCCP Level 1 Course Conductor
Camp Madawaska brings together the things Pete enjoys most about life - family, friends, the outdoors, volleyball and, of course, laughter. Friendships are rekindled each year making the 51 weeks since the last camp seem like only a few days.
